Privacy Policy

Overview

Agent Assist lets you create text shortcuts and insert them in textarea and rich-text fields across the web using / and # triggers.

This policy explains what the extension accesses, what it stores, and what we do not do with your information.

Data we collect

We do not collect, sell, or transmit your personal data to our servers. Agent Assist has no accounts, no analytics, and no remote backend.

Any information you enter — such as snippet text, category names, or shortcut labels — is created by you and stored locally in your browser.

What is stored on your device

The extension uses the Chrome Storage API to save your snippet library, categories, on/off toggle, dropdown preference, UI theme, and language. Data is kept in chrome.storage.local on your device.

A small metadata copy may also be written to chrome.storage.sync so your settings can follow your signed-in Chrome profile. That sync is handled by Google as part of Chrome Sync — not by us.

Access to web page content

To provide snippet expansion, a content script runs on web pages where you type. It listens only in textarea and contenteditable fields.

The extension reads the text around your cursor to detect / or # triggers and to replace them with your saved snippet. This processing happens entirely on your device in real time. We do not log, store, or send the contents of your tickets, emails, or chats to any server.

No remote code

All extension code is bundled in the package you install from the Chrome Web Store or GitHub release. Agent Assist does not load JavaScript from external URLs, use eval(), or execute code from outside the extension package.

Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

The only external services involved are those provided by your browser vendor (for example, Chrome Sync if you enable it) and the Chrome Web Store for distribution and updates.

Chrome Sync

If you are signed into Chrome and have Sync enabled, snippet metadata and settings stored in chrome.storage.sync may be copied across your Chrome profile by Google. We do not control Chrome Sync. Review Google's privacy policy for how that service handles your data.

Your choices

You are in full control of your data:

• Export your snippet library as JSON or Excel from the dashboard at any time.
• Edit or delete individual shortcuts and categories in the dashboard.
• Turn the extension off globally from the dashboard or toolbar icon.
• Uninstall the extension to remove locally stored data from your browser.

Children's privacy

Agent Assist is a productivity tool for professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the extension changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of Agent Assist after changes means you accept the updated policy.
